  1. MARRS (Midtown Art, Retail Restaurant Scene)

I think the MARRS project should be a prototype for every retail mixed use project in midtown/downtown Sacramento.

A coffee shop, news stand, art gallery, clothing boutique, a couple sit down restaurant/lounges and a quick bite place.

Great mix of tenants that keeps activity going on all day and night.

Well done, Mike Heller, well done.

  2. Whiskey Wild Saloon

    Great any time of day
I have been here in the middle of the day, for happy hour, and late at night. It is great at any time. Their food is delicious and affordable. The bar has a great beer selection and they make the drinks strong. I especially love the drink specials that take place right when the trains go by. The crowd is friendly and laid back and the music is good.
  3. Midtown Stomp

    good times and great people

I went to Midtown Stomp for the first time about 4 weeks ago and I have gone every Friday since! The first night I went to the Beginning East Coast Swing class at 8 and it was a blast. There were roughly 100+ people of all ages, and all dance levels.

Everyone is there to learn, and there was no pressure to be good right away.

The social dance that starts at 9 is a great chance to meet people, practice what you just learned and dance with people of all levels.

What's great about Midtown is its a "family friendly" environment. The people there are genuinely interested in Swing dancing and having a good time.

If you are looking for a great place to try Swing dancing - this is it!

Its fun, its friendly, and a great way to get into the Sacramento Swing Scene!

  4. Ink Eats and Drinks

    Yes, they DELIVER!

As someone who lives downtown and doesn’t own a car, I’m always on the lookout for places that offer delivery.  Recently, Ink has added on a late night delivery feature.  From 9-2am they have a cute girl that delivers on her bike.  The prices are a little more than I like to spend and the portions a little smaller than I prefer…but when I have some money to blow and I’m up in the middle of the night, I’m totally on the phone to INK.  My husband recommends the mac&cheese with hotdogs…I prefer their taco’s.
