Hey there Gridsters,
When in doubt, Shop the Grid!
That's right, shop locally, then regionally; vote with your dollar. On your way around The Grid and amidst the Sactown shopping maze, get some good advice from the fashion queens at Twin Soup. They can kick their high heels like no other.
Times are tough, so ride your bike or walk, but remember 2nd Saturday does not make an economy. Preserve our way of life with thoughtful expenditures not vapid ones. That means when you have a chance to turn down Starbucks in favor of a local java space, do it. When you can skip the mallramento and mallrat syndrome, find the locally owned store. When you see affordable art, support that local artist.
Ethical capitalism begins with your voting dollar.
